I spent a good amount of time experimenting with various putters in the shop and ended up going with the Tri Hot 5k Seven DB over the Versa (and a few other things tbh).

It just feels so stable it's unbelievable!

But! I can't quite help but wonder if a Jailbird (if I can get hold of one after Golf Town sold out), or maybe the Toulon Las Vegas might work better? 

 

I'm thinking the Vegas might get me somewhat of a hybrid of the Phantom X7 I replaced it with (but still have)? I really don't know, can't test one locally either....

 

Just going through a bad putting spell, and admittedly it's the area of my game I've worked on the least, so not exactly doing myself any favours there.

Does anyone have a pic of these two putters together?  I’d like to see the size difference.

I don’t have a photo but I have compared both and it is significant. Only my opinion but I found the size to be off putting in the 5k.

Are you sure DB is for you? I’ve been playing a lot of facebalance putters and now I’m playing a slant neck. My putting has become a lot better since I let my stroke arc a little.. also posting a picture of my modded versa. KBS CT shaft, 25g weights from the tri hot and the 17” grip.

Thank you for the pictures!  According the Callaway website both those putters are the same weight.  I feel my versa is too light and I need to add some tape to it.

Yes, I was fit into the prior DB Spider Tour, and after going for a putting lesson, my stroke is still straight back and straight through.

I've just ordered a Queen B with 1/8th toe hang, so will give that a try, but I do sometimes feel like my stroke can adapt with the putter I'm using.

Putting has been better since my lesson anyway, but I'm definitely going to experiment a little more next season to find the right putter for me. 

New Spider, Jailbird (if I can get one), and the new Odyssey releases this upcoming year are all going to be tested I think, and I'll sell anything I fall out of love with or don't get on with.

The more I use the putter the more I like the stock weight of it.
