Center Shaft Lie Angle

I've been restoring putters for awhile now. So I've had my hands on plenty of different styles but one that I need some help with are center shafts. 

 

I will be hacking up an old Taylormade Daytona because I want to try out a CS Blade. 

 

My only question is, does the lie angle change for center shafts?

 

So say I cut the plumbers neck off, set it where the shaft would meet the center, would the lie angle be off then? I feel like it might seem more upright because of the distance change, but my mathing on this doesnt add up 🤣

 

Any tips would be appreciated.  I've only done some slight custom work before. Nothing like this. Just fooling around though in between jobs.

Center shafts as well as face balanced putters play about 0.5 to 1 degree more upright than a plumbers neck. Heel shafted play about 0.5 to 1 degree more flat than a plumbers neck. At least to my non-scientific measurements.
