I've got the same in driver.  Highly underrated shaft.  Even better than the OG black, IMO.

more feel in the handle than the og? how are the ball speeds with the blk 7x vs og black?

Feel is all personal but on paper, TR line is stiffer in handle and should have “worse” feel…plenty of TR red and blue being played but still more OG black…still plenty stiff in handle but not as rigid as TR black

I had the OG black 2 years ago and the TR Black is currently in the bag.  TR Black feels so much smoother overall.  Probably from the spread tow material.  It's still plenty stiff in the handle.  My cousin has a Mevo and my highest ball speed out on the course measured at 177 at Los Serranos on Thursday.  I have a bit more in the tank, but no need to swing any harder.  Haven't had a chance to take it to the range yet.  OG black was within the same range.

I’ve heard many say it plays stouter but the carbon in the handle gives more “feel.” 
 

im playing an og black 6x, which feels awesome atm. I’m only concerned that tr black may be a bit stiffer in the mid

TR Black is very linear much like the OG Black.  I felt like both were very stiff in the mid section.  Tough to say whether it's stiffer in the mid but I don't really feel it.  I didn't really care for the way the OG black felt, but love the TR Black because it's so smooth.
