A Ray Cook story

A long long time ago (it seems) Ray "The Putter Man" Cook designed a 'special' putter to make a click like sound, under two different names. "Clik Golf" & "Kliker Golf Co". He was taken to court for violation of either copyright or tradmark infringment by the telemarket company making those "click on, click off" lamp thingies....Ray Cook lost & had to destroy his entire stock of both putters under the eye of the local police. I met Mr. Cook's Nephew some years after his death, who told me a very few of those MIB putter managed to be secreted out of the Cook facility. (as an aside, I saw one at a flea market, MIB, & bought it...10 bucks as I recall). 

Anyway, after Ray Cook died, the company was bought, all equipement, supplies, right to name etc...O'Dell Trueblood, the Elder Pro I helped in his shop, bought from Mrs Cook, everything that was in the Cook garage. I bought what there was from O'Dell. A lot of proto type putters in various stages of development, a complete set of Affluent iron heads, partial sets of both Affluent & Ball Master iron heads & other "stuff". 

A shout out to @SnowbirdTom again, my thanks cuz I came across those boxes...finding the two putters as pictured - as you can tell, both are in finishing stages (I think), the bottom one still has "screws" extending  that will be cut off I'm guessing & I wonder what will be done w/the top cavity or will the bottom also be changed similarly (don't really think so cua the sole has alredy been stamped...there are others in the boxes that are still in process of building) They are HEAVY!
