Face contact radically different as a result to swing change - please help!

Ok I’m going to do something that’s frowned upon here, which is, to ask for swing help without posting video.  I’ve tried to stay away from video as I’m very susceptible to going down the obsessive rabbit hole of chasing positions to a point of diminishing returns.  
 

im a decent player (7-8 hcp at moment) with good speed (98-101 6i) but have always had a heel side miss.  Hitting long clubs was scary, and often leave driver in the car.  I was an early extender and would crowd the space into the ball. I recently started focusing on the pressure in my feet.  Feeling it left sooner and really consciously feeling pushing off my left foot to keep my left hip deeper.  
 

well, it definitely worked as contact has gone from heely to extremely toe side (can even be off the grooves sometimes).  Before, most of my balls were middled, but the miss was heely and devastating.  Now, most of my balls are too much toe side and contact is suffering.  I miss hitting flush shots
 

I keep telling myself the athlete in me will find a way to get to center face with enough balls but it’s getting frustrating.  It’s been about a month yet with no consistent results.  
 

any thoughts on some feels or adjustments I might try to get strike more middle?  yes I know you’d be guessing without video.  I’m just looking for some general feels/suggestions to play with.  TIA!

I’m about 5-7 degrees in to out on my Quad with a 7 iron.  Way too much

5-7 is too much. Sounds like you are getting too far on your lead side and getting stuck, having to flip at impact. Late releases like that cause the toe to go down and rotate very quickly nearer the ball.

 

I would simply work on an earlier release and instead of being on your lead side so much, just let release and rotation get you to your lead side. I don't like forcing pressure into any side. I work on good turn and good plane work.

It's only been a month, sometimes swing changes can take a long time. If you're working with supervision, keep at it. Ingraining changes can take a while. If you're working on your own I would say the lowest-hanging fruit is simply standing closer to the ball.

Thank you, will play with this.  My other thought is my right foot is banking too much (ie too linear) and need to blend more rotation in to counter balance all the linear forces
