Versa 7 vs White Hot OG 7 - anyone try both?

Curious if anyone has tried and compared the newer Versa 7 to the White Hot OG 7.  Main difference is the coloring of course, but White Hot also can be had with steel shaft.  Looks like the style and size of the 7 heads may have changed slightly as well.  Thanks!

I've owned the White Hot OG 7 and Versa Double Wide both in 35", not exactly the comparison you're asking but I can share my experience with those 2 at least.

 

Visually - The OG 7 seem to work better for me because sometimes the Versa color styling had me overthink if I was aligned both Parallel and Perpendicularly, whereas before I wouldn't even consider this I'd just go by feel and line it up Perpendicularly. Even though I kind of prefer looking at the Versa styling, this particular model in comparison I tended to be offline more than the OG 7.

 

Feel - It felt the overall weight of the OG 7 Steel Shaft was heavier than the Versa DW Strokelab shaft even though the head weight on the DW is listed at 10 grams heavier. I preferred the heavier feeling of the OG 7 with Steel Shaft because my stroke was more consistent with how much power to put behind the ball in terms of distance. The strokelab versa sometimes I would miss pushing too much or too short.

 

Performance - From my 6-8 foot putting mat I would make maybe 75-80% with the Versa DW, but make more around 85% with the OG 7.

 

Keep in mind though the Versa DW has 15 degrees of Toe Hang whereas the OG 7 is Face-Balanced so my pull and push misses on the Versa DW could be partially due to that as my stroke tends to be straight-back straight-through.

 

Overall the OG 7 felt more effortless in making putts and I ended up returning the Versa Double Wide and keeping the White Hot OG 7. I really wanted to keep the DoubleWide and was rooting for that to suit me, but just couldn't get it to perform as consistent as the OG 7.
