Bobby Jones Links Club Management

A new ownership group is buying Chapel Hills and Mirror Lake, west of ATL, from Invited(Club Corp). The new owners are hiring Bobby Jones Links to manage both clubs. Anyone have any experience with them?

Invited sucked to put it nicely, hopefully new upper management will turn things around at these courses but I'm a sceptic.

They are currently private but no clue about the future

Has anyone heard anything else about Bobby Jones taking over these courses?

My club is a current Bobby jones links managed course. It still entirely based on the ownership. They came in and helped decide where changes needed to be made but it all depends on the owner spending money. Luckily our owner spent around $5 million into the club.
As far as the Bobby jones side I haven’t noticed anything they do lol

The sale to a new owner closed at the end of November. Bobby Jones Links has been the management company since December first. The new owner is starting to put some money into the courses. They remain private.

Was checking out the courses you mentioned in the original post, is mirror lake both lake/mountain courses? I’m curious bc these are less than 100 miles from my club and I imagine I could get on easily now that it’s part of the Bobby jones management like my course.

Yes, Mirror lake is 36 holes. I do not know what the deal is with the Bobby Jones managed private clubs because it all depends on the owner. We were told we get a 50% discount from the public Bobby Jones courses but no details on what access to private local private clubs. All we were told a few weeks ago is they were working with the owners of the private clubs to see what would be available. If it's outside the 90 mile window Links2Golf would apply from the sounds of things.

I like lake better than mountain but both are fun. Course conditions YMMV. I don't play ML much, a few times a year, since I live on CH but CH course conditions are better except for the bunkers. Invited did not spend much money on the CH and ML the last few years. Hopefully things improve with the new owner.
