Ireland Golf Tour Companies

I am planning a golf trip to SW Ireland in August of 2024.   We have our courses selected and I am beginning to get proposals.  Would appreciate any insights on tour companies others have used and their experiences.  I have reached out to the following companies:  Hidden Links, Celtic Golf, Perry Golf, Premier Golf, Golf Vacations Ireland, Real Irish Golf, Irish Golf Tours, Sullivan Golf Travel.  Thanks, Henry

I used Sullivan, and we had an amazing trip. Cathal took care of everything, even got one of his buddies to loan us his own clubs and come and pick them up from the hotel after (we were on a long, complicated trip with the whole family and didn’t want the hassle of traveling with clubs).

Have used Golf Vacations Ireland, and highly recommend.  Doing a trip with them again this coming June and the planning process for that was as easy as ever.

Our golf association has used Perry and Sullivan in the past. No complaints about either one. I feel Sullivan offered the better value.

 

Whoever you choose, just do your homework. A few years ago, I sent a deposit, 14 months in advance, to a tour company based out of Tralee, for an Ireland, Northern Ireland trip.Dozens of great reviews on a well known travel site. I emailed the company a couple weeks after I sent in the deposit, with a question about scheduling. No response after a couple tries. I just assumed he was busy with the current year’s trips. I was going on another golf trip that current spring, so I figured on trying again when I got back. When I got back, still no response. For some reason I happened to look on the travel site that had the positive reviews for the company. The reviews were no longer positive. Apparently golfers were literally left standing at the curb. Those that made it to their hotels were informed that there were no reservations. Same with tee times. Apparently the owner of the company skipped town with everyone’s full payments and deposits, including mine. Fortunately my buddy and I used credit cards for our deposits, so we were covered. I would suggest to never use a wire transfer, to save a few bucks on card fees.

I used Connoissuer Golf

 

I would 100% use them again.  They provide a truly elite experience.  They are based in St. Andrews (their office overlooks #18 at TOC) but they also do all things Ireland as well.  We played Kingsbarns, TOC, Ballybunion, Royal County Down, Royal Portrush and Portmarnock through them.  They coordinated everything.
