Hello from New Jersey

Greetings everyone, I am based in Northern New Jersey, grateful for the access to several courses locally.

Looking forward to connect along with my colleague in Philadelphia.

Hey man. I'm in central NJ right now (though house hunting in Tampa/Sarasota - being as I hate both winter and taxes). Live in Monmouth County - which is known for almost shockingly good public county courses. 

 

Welcome to WRX! A year from now you'll probably be slightly poorer, but much happier (the Equipment forums can get addicting ... ;). 

 

You still playing? A number of my local courses are still open, but it is pretty cold, and the tee time window is getting really narrow. Frost delays until 8 or 9AM last couple weekends, but if you get out much past noon, finishing 18 can get questionable - as the sun is now setting at 4:30 ... my last couple rounds were finished in almost Bagger Vance twilight.  Still, the courses are surprisingly full. Lots of us idiots that don't mind the concept of layers.

Ha. That's hilarious. Monmouth County fits, senor Bob Foster. I can totally picture you tooling around that area.

Ha! Actually not much of a Jersey boy, just try to fit in wherever I am (though BTW, Highway 9 totally sucks, terrible traffic I wouldn't sing about - Bruce must have been drunk). Moved here from Mexico City. That I moved to from Ft. Lauderdale. That I moved to from NYC. That I moved to from Houston. That I moved to from Singapore. Gets fuzzy after that. Pretty certain Aruba and Argentina and Detroit and Montana have been involved. 

 

Only constant has been golf. I don't live anywhere where I can't play golf 😂

BTW @ChrisV, hope you got out today. Maybe one of the last times this year. Dec 16 and it was actually quite pleasant - got to the low 50s. A guy was wearing shorts.
