it already has.  the GC Quad Max

Oh sick. Thanks.

Hopefully they end up ditching the software add ons for these high end products since there's so much competition in the field these days.

Quad should not be a 20k device anymore. And seeing the falcon not having add-ons seems like a good sign of things to come I hope.

I'd take some vastly improved phone/tablet (iPhone/iPad) apps, too.

Extremely disappointing product if you ask me. Same stupid deadzones for club data that the GCHawk had, so lefties/righties can't hit from the same spot (the entire point of an overhead unit?). Still requires club fidicuals whereas other new releases like the Trackman iO don't. And there isn't a single overhead unit that has come out in the past few years that does not have an impact camera view available, yet the Falcon does not have one.

Foresight should be embarrassed.

The impact camera on IO is nice but I’d trade it for club speed and path, which IO does not currently have.

Plenty of problems with the iO as a product as well (mainly price and software locks), my comment was more about Foresight missing the mark than "just get Trackman".

They hyped this up pretty good and came out with a product with zero technological improvements and the same exact shortcomings. Again. As someone in the market to actually upgrade to a ceiling unit, it is terribly disappointing.

I agree that feels a bit silly. But… having the hitting zones split apart also requires less lateral space, because they can "overlap" where they're standing and swinging more so.

Trackman is doing a lot of calculating, it's not actually measuring those things, though. I think the fiducials are worth the accuracy.

Less lateral space for standing? Who is that for? "My space is so limited that it matters where people stand instead of where they hit from" but at the same time they have a screen large enough that it's not uncomfortable for both people not be able to hit into the center of the screen? That use case is completely contradictory to even try to spin it as a positive.

No, you misunderstood.

If you stand 3' from the ball, and the righty hits from the ball from where the lefty stands, you only need 3' of space for righties and lefties to stand at address.

If they hit the ball from the same place, you need 6' of space.

I understood, that's what I am saying. In the first picture neither person is hitting into the center of the screen. If your space is so limited that you actually need to save that lateral space, then your screen isn't big enough for you to be comfortable hitting into it offset like that. And if your screen is big enough where you can hit into it offset like that, then you don't need to save the lateral space.

My screen is 12' wide and standing in front of it I can't imagine a use case existing to make Falcon's hitting area a positive. Meanwhile, every person with a centered hitting strip is DOA.

I have a screen that's 12' wide at my academy, and they use it for fittings. It's perfectly wide enough. The bigger issue is swinging the club, and with a centered hitting area, that's a lot more space left-to-right.

We disagree. I think the first image takes up less space. You think it's bad that people are hitting 18" or so off-center as shown in the first image.
