Harding park, SF

thought about it and there is no reason why i cant go low

I sat down and thought about every shot on every hole on the course, Harding Park, and with some decent shot-making on the first 12 holes there is no reason why i cant be 4 or 5 under after 12 holes. Holes 13,14 and 15 could be a little trouble (pars are a good score), 16 and 17 could be birdied with a really good tee shot and some great putts on tricky little greens but a solid par on 18 should give me my 67 or possible 65.

My goal this year is to shoot a 65, my lowest score has been a 69 that i shot october 17th 2007.
I have been working very hard on my game the last 2 years, I just changed to x-stiff shafts which has helped me to keep it from going left and allows me to actually hit a fade, I think i have even figured out why i have been missing my short putts (my putter was upright 1 degree to much and i have been aiming my body to far left and have been burning the edges by pushing or pulling the short putts)

This website has helped me GREATLY with a better understanding of the game of golf, you guys have provided me a ton of useful information regarding all aspects of the game: swing, putting, equipment, mind set/mentality.

I will let you guys know what happens, if i screw it up i will blame it on my proverbial "caddy". (its never my fault its always the caddy's fault - even when there isnt a caddy, do you know what i mean?)
I hope that by talking about it, it doesnt replace the act of doing it.

I want to play Harding for the first time. As a single, is calling the phone number to book times as a single (7 days in advance) the best way? Do I have to make the call at midnight or does the phone system open at a certain time?

I like your enthusiasm, but I also would like to wish you some luck as well. I have played Harding quite a lot in the sf city, and have seen some good rounds there, but its not the easiest course to score on. The greens can be tricky and aren't always in the best shape due to the large amount of public play. Also, the wind can usually help protect some holes by causing you to have a longer iron in than you would normally thing, which can make it very tough to hit the ball close. Hopefully you have a good short game and have a good putting day, as these will be the biggest factors in having the ultimate success there. Oh, and if you hit the ball in the trees, just hope that it comes down, which isn't always the case. Good luck.
