LG Viewty - Capture Your Swing

Not sure if this has been posted. But while looking for a camera to video my swing, I came across the LG Viewty. Thought it was pretty cool since most video cams capture at 30 fps. Here's a link of a golf swing capture on the Viewty.

 

 

It's pretty cool. Just don;t know how well this functions as a phone considering I am stuck on Sony Ericsson.

It's camera phone that has a slow mo capture on it. I think it's 120fps.

The KU990 Viewty actually takes video at 120fps and plays it back in slow mo. And all these are done on the phone itself. For a swing nut like myself, the temptation to get one is irresistable.

Hell, I've got a VERY expensive camera, but, that IS very, very tempting........for 500 or less too......helluva' lot better for we golf nuts than a friggin' Iphone......:rolleyes:

Can I just say, I'm jealous of the tech and that Swing! Beautiful! Great transition...love how your stop everything together and move it back down like a machine...perfectly on plane.

:rolleyes: unfortunately that's not my swing. But am very happy with my swing especially with SliceFixer helping me.

 

Yup...it is a awesome phone. I love to video my swing all the time. Back when I was a teenager, I just had to put some money in my pocket and out I go. Now, it is phone, video cam, digital cam...etc...

 

The slo mo is fantastic. I got to get me the phone. Now to seek approval from my CFO (a.k.a. wife).

But if you already like your current phone and have no plan to purchase new one soon, think about this. Not so cheap around at $1k, will be released in a month or so, but you get 60 fps full 6mp still images, and 300 fps video images plus 12x optical zoom - ultimate golfing gear.

Samsung is coming out with an HD camcorder soon that uses the same CMOS and will shoot at 300 fps.

 

The LG Viewty phone is not available in the US
