More forgiving: Maltby TS3 vs TS1 Im

Thinking about picking up one of these sets....

TS1 is marketed as a player's iron, and is less forgiving using Maltby's rating system* (728).  I play the TS3 (MPF 849), which I've found to be quite forgiving, particularly for thinned shots (COG is a lot lower than the TS1) and strikes toward the heel.  Nice thing about the Maltby clubs is that you can have one made to order for not a lot of $ and put it through the paces on the course.

I hit them both and also hit the TE+. I settled on the TS1-IM because I am a little steeper so my strike point is higher on the face and thus a slightly higher VCOG was helpful for me. They are both good off the toe. The TS1-IM got through the turf better for me. That was ultimately the win factor for me. I also, personally, think the TS1-IM looks better but they are both good clubs.

TS3 going to be more forgiving and feel the softest of any of the new offerings. I know many think the TE+ feels the same but I don't find that to be true. TE+ is more solid. The TS3 is like a pillow. Wish Maltby would get away from so much offset in the scoring irons. I wouldn't bag anything else if they could fix that.
