S300 "Lifer" THINKING ABOUT CHANGING

I need iron shaft help

Hi everyone, I have a problem. Throughout my career, I have consistently had S300 shafts in my irons. Different head setups. Something like 1* flat lie angle with every setup. Right now I'm playing Nike Pro Combos that I've had for nearly a year. These irons have S300 irons in them. Like I said before, basically every other set of clubs I've had have had S300s in them. After some thought, over the last 3 or 4 years, my biggest weakness has been hitting my irons. My biggest miss is left. As a matter of fact, my ONLY miss is to the left. I really would love to hit a fade with my short irons, and I haven't been able to do that in quite some time. I just got finished checking my lie angles and they look fine (all impacts were in the middle of the sole.) I've been working hard on my swing so I don't feel like that is the issue. I feel like I'm beginning to overpower my shafts and I'm possibly getting too strong for them. My driver swing speed is about 110 last I checked. Do you think I need stiffer shafts in my irons? What do the experts recommend? What are some possible shaft choices?

I would look into the Tour Concept X1 shafts. I dont think you would be disappointed in those. :clapping:

That's a really tough question, and one that I feel you are just going to have to figure out through hitting different shafts. I think, based purely on swing speed, which isn't the only variable you need to look at, that you are kind of a tweener. I think you need to get to someone with a fitting cart that can let you hit S-300 and X-100 side by side. Since you are a lifetime DG player, I would start by experimenting with stronger DG shafts before looking to others...
