Bushnell 1500 versus Leupold and Leica

Are there Differences in these Rangefinders.

I would like to know what the REAL differences are between the Bushnell 1500 Slope and the Leupold GX-2 and the Leica Pinmaster.

I do know the Leupold also compensates for altitude and temperature, and I do live in Colorado, but is it really useful and functional or is it a gimmick?

Has anyone used the Leupold or Leica and the Bushnell?
Other than that are there any durability or functional differences that are really useful?

Is one easier to use?
Does one focus on the flag easier?
Is one more stable and easier to hold still...?

I don't mind spending the money for a quality item that has extra USABLE features, but I don't want to waste money either.
I can't find a decent review or real comparison of these three models anywhere.
Any help would be appreciated.

Kind of hard to compare since leupold is not really in the golf biz and very few people use them. Clearly Bushnell is the proven choice on tour and everywhere else in golf.

I have had a Leica CRF 1200 for about 2 years. I bought it for target shooting and have used it on the course on occasion for comparision to my SkyCaddie SG-5.

 

I did a lot of research before deciding the Leica was the best rangefinder available and still hold that opinion. If you can do a side by side comparison between units you will see what I saw. The Leica optics are vastly superior to the other brands except perhaps Swarovski, which is bulkier and less user friendly.

 

The Leica looks like a revised version of an older model, the LRF series I believe. Maybe they had some leftover units and decided to sell them as golf units.

 

They are pricy, but you get what you pay for, it is useful as just a 7X optic if you don't need the rangefinder feature.

If you have time i would like to hear your "lot of research" facts as to how the Leica is superior? The Bushnell 1500 grabs the target instantly, accurate to a foot, durable, great optics and backed by a great customer service with a 2 year warranty. thanks

My research consisted of polling laser rangefinders on the web, visiting sporting goods and optics dealers, and actually using the products that I found. I've looked through every rangefinder I could locate and compared ease of use, view, accuracy, battery type and life, guarantee, ease of adjustability, and reputation. Price, not so much.

 

Not to sound condescending, but have you ever seen the CRF 1200, and if so, compared it to the others you might either consider or own? They are guaranteed accurate to +/- 1 yard up to 400 yards, by the way. Two year warranty, very compact and light, with brilliant optics. One button operation with either continuous or fixed ranging.

 

I'm not sure what else you might expect a rangefinder to be, but I put my money where my mouth is, and bought the Leica because I think it is the best there is.

 

My money, my opinion. Put them side by side and tell us what you think about optics. I did.

+1 on the leica. Simply put, the Mercedes Benz of range finding optics.
