I agree with you on the best customer service. Golf Galaxy by a mile.

I find it kinda strange that everybody likes the Customer Service at Golf Galaxy.

 

I am from Ontario and we have Golf Town (essentially the same thing - Same owners, layout. selection) and the custoemr service is terrible. The people that they have working there really do not seem to know anything about golf. This is not just my own experience but since I work in a golf store as well I hear all kinds of horror stories. (105+ swing with a high ball flight being fit for a prolaunch R....etc.)

 

I would be interested to hear what the rest of the Canadians have to say about this.....??

i hear the same things. i work in a small local golf shop and a golf galaxy just opened up about 20 minutes away from us and we get people coming in all the time saying how much bigger the store is and how much of a selection and deals they have but the knowledge is very lacking. we still get a bunch of loyal customers who mainly come to us for the real equipment advise.

Golf Galaxy gets a plus in my book for letting me hit the Sasquach a week and a half before the retail release, and I didn't even ask. Old guy that worked there asked me if I had seen it yet, and then pulled it out and asked me to hit it a few times.

I was in there (Golf Galaxy) just after x-mas and bought my G5 irons, they were kind of rude in there and didn't really help me. They said everything looks good and just gave me a set of black dots, but they did say if I have any problems, to come back, and they'll refit me.

 

I think golf stores are scumb in general, but if I had to pick customer service, it would be Golfsmith or my favorite local golf shop, that will be shutting their doors, because Golf Galaxy is building a Super Store next to them.
