Bubba Watson 3-wood?

Any idea of other clubs in the bag?

We know Bubba Watson is playing a G5 driver and from other pictures I've seen looks like S59 irons. Does anybody know what 3-wood he is using? Although with his distance, he probably doesn't use it often, but I would still be interested to know.

I haven't checked the web to confirm, but on the telecast one of the announcers said that he didn't carry any fairway woods on a regular basis. I thought I saw a hybrid in his bag on the telecast but can't be sure as to what it was.

Definitely makes sense - supposably hits his long irons close to 300 yards (which is also hard to believe) - so there is no need for fairway woods.

:) With some good roll that would not suprise me, at the SONY Open I saw him hit a 400+ yard drive and the fairway was by no means straight downhill. One player compared him to a John Daly on steroids. :blink:

he played on a small tour that based near my home town in carrollton.....i got to hit balls with alot of these DP tour guys on the range and got to hit balls and putt and play with bubba.....hes definately the real deal....heath slocums dad was the manager of this tour and Heath and Boo Weekley played as well......it was pretty cool!

According GolfWorld/GolfDigest he's carrying a 14* Nickent hybrid (basically a 3 wood loft), and he pounds the hell out of it.

a 320 yard hybrid. thats crazy.

at my club in essex england, our 16th is a 334 yard par 4, downhill and in summer our fairways are like concrete and when we had a huge wind with, i hit a 5 iron on the green. had about 90 - 100 yards of run. later on in the clubhouse a +3 handicap at the club walked in and said he got on with a 8 iron lol he was so commited to proving he did it. he went and hired a buggy with a 8 iron only. me and my mate hopped on as well, he teed it up, swang at his usual blink and you miss it speed, it must have carried 210 and run all the way onto the green :drinks: i know he has extended irons and really thick grips so his clubs play 1 or 2 longer than normal, but a 8 iron 334 yards, is that heard of anywhere else in the world lol

Thats intresting, former #1 distance leader on tour, Scott Hend, used a prototype Adams hybrid too...
