Fujikura 660tr or Rombax Z

I'm looking to re-shaft my TM TP BURNER 9.5*. SS 105-110. I love the 660tr but don't know much about the rombax z.

On another note, I have played both....I really liked the 660TR...so +1 for that shaft.

660TR is a very smooth shaft, not that the Z is not but 660TR is more so. The 660TR will launch higher and spin more then the Z as well. So it all depends on what your current numbers are ? and if the change would be beneficial or not.

The Speeder 660TR has a very similar tip profile to the Speeder 757, in a lighter weight. A Rombax Z series shaft will have a hard tip section to promote a lower launch and lower spin trajectory then a 660TR.

 

Both shafts are excellent shafts. A player with a mid tempo would be a good fit for the 660TR, where as a player with a quicker tempo would fit into a Rombax Z series shaft. The Speeder 660TR will have a slightly softer feel at impact compared to the Rombax Z with a harder feel.

Its around low to mid 70s. My XX was 76.

the rombax z is a tremendous shaft with great feel, performance and spin #'s. Never hit the 660 though, just to have full disclosure.

well I went with the Fujikura Rombax 7Z08 x-stiff and all I can say is WOOOOOW!!

Very long, I was Flying the yellow nike Range ball over 275 up hill at the range today, VERY HAPPY. THANKS TO CHIP USHER FOR THE GREAT JOB!!!! He's done every club in the bag except the hybrid an thats next
