Precept U-Tri Extra Distance vs. U-Tri Tour??

Compare and contrast?

If both can be found deeply discounted and I have played the U-Tri Tour...what is the difference between them?

How do they compare on distance, spin on short ones, etc?

I love the U-Tri Tour. I see they both have urethane covers..............

U-Tri Extra Distance has a higher trajectory and a bit less spin off the driver than the U-Tri-Tour due to its double-dimple design and softer core, respectively. Distance is similar, with the U-Tri Extra Distance generally the better performer for slower swings due to the higher trajectory. i find them to perform similarly to each other off the wedges. Bridgestone claims that the U-Tri-Tour spins more off the 8-iron than the U-Tri Extra Distance, but i have not found much difference, if any, between the two off the scoring irons. the U-Tri Extra Distance definitely feels softer off the driver and definitely flies higher than the U-Tri-Tour. i like them both.

i use to use the u-tri extra distance (and nike ta2 lng which is the exact same ball) all the time. i started using the u-tri tour a couple years ago when i started finding them for $20/dozen at target. the extra distance was longer, but the tour has more spin. i never once sucked back a extra distance, but can suck back a tour.

U tri Extra distance has lower compression and has a harder cover, the ball flight is higher for driver and iron shot but the wedge spin is lower.

 

The Utri tour ball feels heavier off iron and drivers, travels at a lower flight. It has more zips on full/half wedge shots and if your driver SS is fast enough 110mph+, it will be 10-15 yards longer due to lower flight and more roll.
