CG12 Shaft question?

Dynamic Gold Wedge flex vs. Cleveland TRAction

I just got a new set of CG12's from E-bay and was expecting the old standard Dynamic Gold Wedge flex that have been in Cleveland wedes forever, but instead they came with Cleveland TRAction shafts in wedge flex. I can't find any info on this shaft. Are these the same thing or are they different? How do they play? What shaft is in your CG12's? I'm debating keeping them or relisting them on E-bay. Thoughts?

Really interesting that you ask this question as I picked up this same wedge on eBay yesterday in 64*. For some reason the length is longer on the 12's then other Cleveland wedges and it came with the TA Wedge shaft. So I cut the wedge down 1/2" and took it to the practice center. The shaft provides a very high ball flight even on chips. So I threw in a DGS300 then took that out. Much lower ball flight even on chips. So, back and forth with the shafts and tip weighting. I'm so anal.

I'm anal too and carry 4 wedges and use them a lot so I don't want to be using the wrong shaft. I've had two sets in a row of the Cleveland 900's with the DG wedge flex shaft and they are fine with me, so I'm worried about these TA shafts. I like to hit my 52* for full shots from about 110 yards and like to hit full sand wedges from about 85 yards so if this TA shaft hits too high, I may lose distance. I'm debating relisting these and just paying full retail to make sure I get the "normal" DG wedge flex shaft. Why would Cleveland put in two different stock shafts? This TA shaft isn't even listed on their website! Trying to replace my 900's has been frustrating and this is my third attempt to get a set of CG12's. The first set of ebay got pulled down by ebay after I won the auction; the second set arrived with damage to the heads from poor packing so I returned them and now the third set have these weird shafts! Very frustrating!!!!

Thanks for the info. I did find them under the CG14's too and the specs are different as the traction shafts have a mid kickpoint, weight less and have a lower swingweight. I double checked the ebay ad and it clearly listed TTDG and so I contacted the seller and he is willing to take them back. He claims that the 08 CG12's have the traction shaft and the 07 CG12's have the TTDG. I've been playing the TTDG wedge shaft forever so I don't really want to change so it's time to return another set! :clapping:
