About to build AP1 with Aldila TGi 120g graphite +1.25"

for a massive 6' 3" aussie with huge hands

I'm about to custom make a brand new Titleist AP1 4 to PW + GW iron set for a strong 6' 3" aussie, he's using +1.75" over normal standard, 1.25" over AP1 standard, also has huge hands, too big for readily available gloves.

He's currently using 6 year old Wilson's with FAT SHAFTS STIFF.

He has to use graphite shafts for his elbows, but loves the lower torque of steel shafts, but doesn't want to risk steel again and he's not worried about using heavier graphite shafts.

His price limit also is less than A$1000, a tough ask seeing Titleist in Australia want A$1440 for an 8 iron set of AP1's with standard graphite.

What I've come up with:

• Brand New AP1's with DG S300
• New Aldila TGi 120gm Tour Grade STIFF .355T 3-PW - Torque 1.7 to 2.0 (soft stepping)
• Lamkin Crossline JUMBO grips
  

I purchased the Aldila TGi 120gm from Aldila Closeouts direct ($60 for set), the 4 to PW + GW weren't available as no stocks, a current model graphite shaft set ($300 to $400) was out of the question due to pricing restraints.

By using the Aldila TGi 120gm Tour Grade 3-PW graphite shafts and soft stepping, I'll have enough length room, might have to cut off 1/2 to 3/4". Uncut, these 120gm shafts are like broomsticks, the centre epoxy release hole is so small.

From your club making experiences, will he obtain the desired results of:

1. Low torque graphite shafts that play like steel, but will have less vibration
2. Graphite shafts that can handle being 1.75" longer than standard, or 1.25" over AP1 standard
3. Finish up with a shaft that plays similar to the Wilson FAT SHAFT (I have no idea, never used)
   

After spining and flo'ing the shafts for consistency, where would you install the most dominent NBP to obtain a consistent stiff flex (for me, I normally install at 9 o'clock)

• at 9 o'clock, or
• 12, 3 or 6
