Cleveland XL 10.5 vs Krank El Diablo 9

What should I expect ? ?

I am currently hitting a Cleveland XL w/ a red stiff shaft and hitting it well ... Avg prob a legit 270 - 290, bombing and rolling a few good ones well to 330 + .

The bug bit me and I had to try one of these Krank El Diablo drivers, got a 9 degree with a stiff shaft in a 46" length.

Anyone know what I should expect, are they easy to hit long or do I see ebay in the future for this club ??

You will probably get another 10 yards carry and another 10 roll. I have a 48" smt9* and a 50" insight9016D 7.5*, stay balanced and wait for the longer shaft to load before you begin the downswing.

The Krank ED is a low spin head, unlike the XL your hitting now. You may want to get a lighter flex shaft in the ED if you have a hard time getting the ball in the air(seeing you dropped down 1.5* or possibly more of loft when you switched drivers)

thanks !! actually i hit the ball very very high .. I have tried some lower degree clubs demos and etc at the pro shop and they all still launch very high.. so i was hoping the 9* would bring it down a little bit, but not hit a worm burner everytime..

 

anyone else with any thoughts / opinions / tips greatly appreciate them ! !

Got the club, and hit it, it has some 'heat' as people say, but just didn't work out for me.. Needed more tweaking, and didn't have money to try diff shafts etc..

 

but......

 

Just wanted to add a side note here... I wanted to note that the people at Krank seem to be very willing to help you out and really seem good ! ! May not have worked for me at this point, but I am definately impressed with the people who make the clubs.. Don't be hesitant to try one based on not having too much information on the company ! ! !
