Yeah the mizuno's are sweet, fell in love the first time I hit them! Now, I'm always on the lookout for another set, but I got lucky on eBay for that set. They were really cheap for that condition and they came from a touring pro. As a consequence, they are perfectly weighted, with the perfect length and lies. So I was lucky.

 

Unfortunately, the driver is back in the bag. But that is because I've managed to develop a new swing which is so much more consistent that I trust it. Moreover, because of the nature of my 3 wood, though I hit it straighter most of the time, and equally as long, if not longer I must add, the misses are alot worse. Example, a 10 metre draw on my driver will be an instant snap hook with the 3.

Josh, promising senior student at Monash College in Melbourne, has decided to pull driver from his bag in an unprecedented move for more accuracy and manouevrability, sacrificing the extra distance of the popular r7 Quad river. That is if my exams go to plan, though at this rate, it would be difficult not to get in considering the course I want to get into, and my second preference.

I decided that my back up clubs are important too!

 

Irons- MP-33's (Yes I have two sets of the same irons)

Wedges- 48* and 56* Cleveland 900 RTG

Putters- Scotty Cameron Studio Stainless Newport 2 350g 34"

- Scotty Cameron Studio Design 1 34"

- MacGregor Bobby Grace M6.4K-GT 34"

I have a 983K 8.5 YS-6 stiff that I use as a back up when my 905R is being worked on.I still believe it's longer than the 905 series but my wife got me the new driver for Christmas so I play it now.Wouldnt consider getting rid of my 983K.Too good a club IMO.

that studio design is in BEAUTIFUL condition

i bought my girlfriend a studio design 3.5 in black pearl finish, 9.9/10 condition i reckon, we still think its not a good idea to game it haha

Well, to be honest, the Callaway has been in the bag for over 1 year now. Actually more than a year and a half! The Newport 2 has seen the been bag once in that time, and the Studio Design, which is practically brand new, has seen the bag twice when I first got it a month ago. I just can't kick the Callaway out of there. The back ups are for when the Callaway really gives me the craps one day!

 

And I know what you mean when something looks too good to game. The Studio Design does that to me. In fact I just bought it because I loved the look and always wanted one even though I probably would play well with it. To be honest, I roll it extremely well, and almost always on line. For some reason, they just don't drop. Maybe I should give it more than two rounds to prove itself!

 

Did you know that I also have back up irons which are the same specs and same club (33s) and are also practically brand new? I guess I'm just one of those paranoid people!

I should say that the 2-iron hasn't been in the bag for over a year now... I can only just get the 3-iron. 2-iron? That's impossible. Besides, I'd have to get it regripped and weighted because there's something about it that just isn't consistent with the rest of the clubs. I wish I could hit it, but the hybrid is just stupid easy!

 

Having said that, I might just pull it out for a spin today...
