I will begin firstly, with my apologies - work the past week or two has been ridiculous. Not enough time nor energy in the day hence the missing thread last week and the almost missing thread this week also but I am back…I think. As most of you will know after listing the defending champion, I tend to begin these threads with a list of notables in the field. This week though, I really should begin with a notable not in the field which of course is Scottie Scheffler. In what, for this week at least, may be the biggest favour anyone has ever done for the eventual winner, baby Scheffler is yet to join us and dad to be Scottie remains where he should be with Meredith whilst they await their impending arrival. With Scottie away, those who do make up the field will hope to make hay and remind us that they too can be quite good. Others in the OWGR Top 10 have some good history around the Quail Hollow Club and last years champion will be hoping to join Max Homa in the two time winners around here. Homa however may well be the man to beat. He came back to life in Georgia and with two wins and a 4-0-0 record in the Presidents Cup at Qauil Hollow, he clearly knows how to golf his ball around the track.

Quail Hollow, one of my favorite stops on the PGA tour. Our darling Ludvig not playing either, so first and second from the Masters out of the equation. Got a feeling, Homa will win this year.

Seeing “Hammer” reminded me. I somehow stumbled upon the Cameo site the other day. Spent a good 30 minutes seeing who was on there. It was a little uncomfortable if I’m being honest. Well anyway, the Hammer dude from the Hammer driver infomercials is on there! Only $60 bucks guys.

Yes, clear to see how he could hit it from the penalty area, next the fence, through 6-7 other thick bushes to bring the tower into play.  Absolute clown show, and he does it consistently.  There was a ruling he didn't like recently so called in a second opinion.  Maybe why he doesn't win compete in Majors.  The golf golds are always watching Xander.  I do understand he's entitled to ask, but let's have some common sense here people.  Spoiled brats and weak officials kowtowing to cry babies (is it crybabies or cry babies?)

Beautiful course.  Big name sponsor.  Leaderboard stacked with great golfers.  It appears that the PGA Tour may actually be just fine...
