Nothing says modern style more than a terry cloth shirt with sleeve openings twice the size of his biceps.  Except maybe that Elmer Fudd hat he’s sporting.  That thing just really finishes off the ensemble.

The drives from today were 185+ mph ball speed.

Hearing the sponsor sell this tournament as "There are no cuts this year!" is just not a selling point for me.  Won't bother ranting about how I hate these "signature events" again but I hate no cut golf unless its very rare.

Agreed.  Those sponsor commercials disguised as interviews are embarrassing.  I typically mute them.  I hit the button immediately after she got that sentence out of her mouth.

Not that I'm complaining to wake up to golf <6 AM on a Saturday morning on the West Coast, but is there a reason they started so late yesterday and so early today?

 

I know Thurs was a late start due to weather. I didn't hear of any weather yesterday morning. And there's no rain in the schedule later today that would make me think they have to finish early. 

 

Is it just that they're going down to twosomes and that everyone is going off #1 instead of split tees?

Watching PGA Tour Live. Justin Thomas went into the little tent to get his scorecard or something - they had caddy bibs too - and there was a giant “Thin Blue Line” American Flag on the wall of the tent. Just seemed a bit weird for such a thing to be.
