FT-5/G10 launch monitor session

From these stats which is better?

I did an indoor launch monitor session today with a 10* FT-5 in a few shafts and a G10 in one. I was ready to go with the FT-5 because the Imix is attractive to me, but then got handed the G10 and the numbers were good. Here are some average stats using a prov1:

FT-5 10* Prolaunch Red stiff (earlier in the session, I should have hit some more at the end)

G10 10.5 with Prolaunch Red regular (plenty warmed up by then)

I couldn't see ball flight obviously but the computer said that I was mostly within 7 yards of straight, but typically slightly right.



Any opinions of which may be a better club? Should I try to lower the launch angle and spin further with a 9* head? Or is this just a dead heat tie. The only thing I don't like about the G10 is that extra 3/4 inch shaft length. Opinions????? Thanks

ft-5.... 2 mph less club head speed yet yielding the same if not better numbers.... i would say that the club head speed is coming from the .75" longer shaft.

I say FT5 as well but it really looks too close to call? Which did you feel better looking at?

A bit more comfy with the FT-5, but I hit the G10 suprisingly well. Anyone think going to a 9* would be worth it?

Ping is notorious for their drivers (especially the G10 line) having a higher actual loft than their stated loft. So, it's quite possible that the 10.5 degree you hit was closer to 12.0 degrees.

 

Something to consider before you pull the trigger.
