Shafts, grips and weights

Hi,

I have a set of Taylormade RAC MB TP's with royal Precision Flighted Rifle 6.0, I can hit the irons quite well but they are far to light for me.

Now the problem I am having is that I cant find anywhere to put the tape on, I have tried on the back of the club but I can get one tiny bit of lead tape.

My currnet set-up looks like this:

Nike Sumo Original, Graffaloy Blue Stiff 10.5 with 2 strips of tape

Sonartec NP99 15* 3 wood Aldila NVS 85 Tour 2 strips of tape

Titleist 505h 19* Cobra Baffler Fujikura Shaft or a Ping S59 2 Iron - 3 strips of tape

Taylormade RAC MP TP 3 Iron

Titleisht 762 DCI 4 Iron - 3 strips of tape - Untill I can get a reshaft

RAC MB TP 5-pw no tape

Taylormade RAC Z TP 52 no tape same reason

Clevelond 588 TCS Nomad Golf WRX Treatment, gun Blue Finish 5 strips of tape

Titleist Vokey 60 bent to 58-02 with 4 strips of tape

Odyssey 2 Ball Blade - Extremely Heavy about 10-12 strips of tape atleast

I like my clubs heavy and have always used tape so I can adjust it, but I am getting really frustrated with these RAC's. Any advice would be great before before I sell um but I am a sucker for looks

Funny...

Getting back to your question, not sure if this will help but I own the same head and know that it utilizes an internal hosel weights. The internal weights are available in various sizes. I have some 10 grams weight laying around, but they may be too heavy and cause the Rifles to feel very loose. During my visit with Joe Kwok today, he had a few weights sitting around and may want to ping him when he gets back in a couple of weeks.

Ya, weight plugs will work, or you can use tungsten powder down the shaft. Same affect, but doable without pulling the shafts.

Well done, was quite funny. But being honest Its my proffesionals fault I like everything so damn heavy...

He recommended me trying it for a bit cause I was having trouble getting through the ball, now when I take um off just feels weird. Might have a look at golfsmiths about some weights. Will prob be looking aroun 10-20g increase in weight..

20g??!!!??? wow. How much does each lead tape "strip" weigh?

20g out on the head is a huge increase in SW. You'd be in the E's.

But to each their own.

Also - you may want to note that the increase in headweight softens the shaft. You may be hitting it well because the flex is correct for you with the added weight....and of course that you feel comfy with the heaver weight.
