Black gold Vs Kbs tour

Looking for opinions for those who have tried both, I currently have black golds but have heard good things about the kbs shafts :)

I think they are both great shafts, but seem to fit different people. I found the Black Gold to feel overly stiff and heavy. I do not load the shaft very much and really had problems getting the Black Gold to work and feel good. Just a bad shaft for my swing.

 

The KBS Tour is like a softer feeling PX. I was one of the many who loved the PX's flight characteristics, but just hated the feel. The KBS Tour seems to fix that issue.

 

I think both shafts are butt stiff -- my fitter said the KBS is more butt stiff than the PX, just softer through the middle and tip which makes it feel softer.

 

I have had the KBSs for a few months and really love them.

Have had both in my scratch irons. I find that they flight about the same. The black golds feel heavier, by a long way. Both shafts feel great, and go about the same on decent hits with no wind. What I also found is that I ballooned the black golds. No issues like that with the KB tours so far. Great shafts.

Interesting note about the BG's and ballooning. I found the opposite. KBS' ballooned like crazy when I hit them and the BG's are amazing. Great ball flight and great weight.

 

You really can't go wrong with either of these shafts.

I would have to agree the black golds do not balloon, that is one of the things I really like about them.
