In need of reshafting my new 2009 TM Burner TP 10.5* driver. First time using a 10.5* Have been using 9.5* or lower. LM indicated I needed 10.5*. Nice flight (trajectory) but no roll. Need to scrap the high spinny TM stock shaft, TM RE*AX SF TP 65s. Condsidering and waffling between 2 Fujikura Rombaxes. 7W06 (low/mid launch, med/high bend pt, low spin) or 7Z08 (low launch, high bend pt, low spin). More concerned about spin. Anyone out there used both and could tell the significant difference?

I have an Adams XTD Pro with 7Z08 and HiBore XL Tour with 7W06 - the spin is definitely lower in the HiBore, but I am sure that most of it can be attributed to the head. I will probably pull the 7Z08 and drop it in a J33R and see how that combo works. I also found that both clubs launch about the same with the Adams a smidge higher. Hope this helps.

Yes, sir that helps. You have hit right on the nail. My best driver ever was the HiBore XL @ 9.5* with Red shaft at stiff. All I can say the head/shaft combo was the best (just a tad too low flight but alot of roll), although I believed it was the head that produced such low spin (I have a friend who had the Gold shaft and he still got a pretty good roll.) Thought XLS was an upgrade so I traded in the XL. Costly, stupid, and bad move there. BTW, there's a new shaft, Motore F1. The characteristics @ 75g would put the Motore F1 between 7Z08 and 7W06 but costs less. No reviews found on this shaft yet. I'd look for your next post regarding to the J33R with 7Z08. What are the lofts of these drivers? Thanks, man!
