Craig Stadler Tournament-Fall Clinics Starting!

Hello fellow WRXIANS!

My name is Jay Anderson and I serve as executive director for a NON-Profit called "Open Fairways". Our organization works with 2,000 kids throughout the state of Colorado, and Wyoming. Similar to first tee in ciriculum, we differ in our mission, or goals are to work with kids that are in detention centers, foster homes, substance abuse facilities, residential treatment centers, halfway houses, and gang prevention organizations. The first tee doesn't reach these kids, and the ones they do reach are required to pay for programming(if they don't get a scholarship). Our main goal with the kids we serve is to introduce them to golf, and the life lessons accompanied with the game. If, and when, the kids show interest we require them to sign an agreement with us to stay in school, off of drugs, and out of gangs. In return the kids recieve a membership card that gets them free range balls, $1 green fees, and rental clubs at all of our participating courses. After the have signed the agreement we introduce them to Careers in the golf business, additional ongoing instruction (from PGA pros), and paths to get into college. Our kids age between 7-17 years old. 67% are minority, and 45% are female. We provide all of the above at no cost to the organizations we serve. We have the Craig Stadler invitational at Grand Elk (Grandby Colorado) this Tuesday September 16, and need to sell two more foursomes to round out the field. Craig plays a hole with each group, takes a picture, and hosts the awards ceremony. It's a great time......please PM me for more details.
