Hybrids: Cobra, Mizuno and Cleveland

I know there are alot of HALO fans out there (there's a TM vs. HALO stream going on right now in this forum). Anyway, I'm curious to hear thoughts on:

 

Mizuno Fli-Hi CLK

Cobra Baffler

Cleveland HALO

 

I'm looking at 20 degrees (19 for HALO) and will most definitely be getting steel shafts.

I play the Mizuno 20*

 

Very nice club both of the deck, in the ruff or from the the tee. I have the stock TrueTemper Sensicore shaft in mine, for me its the perfect feel and trajectory. I only have one issue with it at the moment and that is of the tee when I want to really go for it, sometimes it goes left on me - The shaft is a on the softside for me.

Go for the HALO. I'm a big fan of it. It's a good idea though to get the steel shaft in it because the shaft sucks like there's no tomorrow. It's no use spending more money on a graph shaft when a steel shaft is a lot better. The Baffler, although, I've heard is a very good hybrid as well, but I'd still go for the HALO. Very AWESOME club.

I felt that the Mizuno was definitely not as forgiving as the baffler or the halo. The Mizuno also sounded weird, but I just didn't like it because I thought it was harder to hit, which is key to a hybrid.

 

The Baffler and the Halo was very easy to hit, but the Baffler was harder to work than the Halo.

 

I also hit the Halo longer.

 

Boththe Halo and the Baffler are very forgiving and easy to hit.

 

I got the Halo 2i as my 14th club with a UST IROD shaft (S).

The Fli-hi CLK has a composite crown, correct?

 

I thought the HALO was an all steel hybrid, so are you comparing apples to oranges?

 

I have 2 all steel Fli-hi and find them to be great clubs. I would also note that because they are forged you can bend them to your specs. I have mine 2* upright and I have their lofts adjusted also, they started out as 18* and 24* and are bent to be like a strong 2 iron and 3 1/2 iron.

I own a Halo and a Ping. The Ping is easy to hit, but the Halo hits HARD. It goes farther than the Ping (at least for me).
