Should I keep it?

Got the latest Golf Buddy as a gift and am wondering if I should keep it or exchange it for another model. I haven't researched the GPS units much but it seems to get mixed reviews. Seems like the Golf Guru is a well like unit. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

i have one here in hawaii and i LOVE it. it's so easy to use. just simply turn it on and it works. comes preloaded with around 15,000 courses and holds up to 20k. and i like the fact that the battery is rechargable and it also has slots for regular AAA batteries in case i forget to charge it. i'd stick with it...

Just got the Golf Buddy Pro. Will try it out this week and if I don't like it I may exchange it for the upro. The GB Pro does allow for changing the pin location.

Saw a lot of adverts for them in the golf mags. Had one of their guys come and measure my course a few weeks ago. I walked round with him as he did it and can honestly say it was a joke.

All he did was measure from the back of the tee to the front, middle and back of greens. He never measured any hazards or targets, so makes it a rather pointless device. Also on our course we have 9 actual tees/fairways but seperate greens and the Golf Buddy System can't differentiate the seperate greens, so he only measured the front 9 greens. So anyone coming to play our course with one of these devices would be screwed on the back 9.

Much prefer the Skycaddie and their GPS Guys who measure absolutely everything you'd need when they go round.
