Bridgestone J33 Advice

9.5 or 10.5

I am going to purchase a Bridgestone J33 460 - I need input, though:

My swing speed is about 105-115, but I generally hit a low ball.

I have heard that the J33 is an unusually low launching driver. I have played an 8.5 or 9.5-degree driver for the past 2 years. Based on what I've heard about the J33, I am consider ing a 10.5-degree loft. Unfortunately, I have only been able to hit the 8.5-degree J33 - which was just too low launching (10-12 degree launch angle). I loved the feel, though - absolutely outstanding.

My question is what would be best with this particular club (with an NV65 S shaft) - a 9.5 or 10.5 loft?

Go with the 10.5*, I had the 9.5* and hit it too low, without an spin. Also, I normally hit a high ball.

I have a 9.5 and with the NV it is a low launcher. I put an Accra Tour 70 in it and it has brought the ball flight up but flat. Whichever head you get if you have trouble with the traj then take a look at this shaft. I am using the m5 flex untipped at 44.5 and tip weighted to get the sw up to d4/5.

Do what I did ,buy the 10.5 and put the Fuji 757 in. I have the same club head speed you do.

A high kickpoint shaft will be a good balance for you. It's a great driver.

... i would call it "unusually low" but it is lower than most. i have always played 9* or 9.5* drivers and the 10.5* j33r 460 gives me a similar ballflight. it is also a low spin head, so even if you get a slightly higher trajectory it's just a bonus...

With the NV I would go with a 10.5.

I play a 9.5 J33R 460 with an Accra T70. Since the Accra has a softer tip than the NV it brings the ball flight back up. If you use a lower kick shaft than the NV then a 9.5 would work.

I don't see the J33R 460 as a low launching head. I think it plays true to loft, but hasa more boring trajectory than what most people are used to. The 420 version is lower launching than the 460. That is a lower launching head IMO.
