going next weekend, can I golf?

Will the weather be nice enough? anybody know of any place to golf there? Anything place right there? I have never been. Just looking for some info. thanks

Wisp has a course but I doubt they are open, its still skiing season up there. Im about 1.5 hours from there and its usually about 10 degrees cooler, so your looking at about 30's unless you catch a freak day. This time of year its mostly skiing and drinking

Yea Im biased(I HATE winter!) so I like Deep creek in summer, you can rent boats,waverunners,golf etc. But skiing at Wisp is a great time also.

 

BTW, if your looking for entertainment, there is a company out of PA that will ship some "dancers" down. I forget the name and work filter is blocking my searches but look it up if your intrested. We had 2 come to a bach party we had at the lake.

unfortunately the bachelor has requested a sans-dancer party. It's too bad because we will have a pool table and a hot tub! LOL But thanks for the heads up anyways.

I know Im bumping a really old post, but in case anyone ever searches Deep Creek or Wisp info in the future on this sight- OMG NO WAY IN HECK can you golf here in February!!!
The Wisp, Lodestone, Oakland, and Thousand Acres, Rocky Gap, Alpine-- all open May 1st.

I searched the Wisp just to see if anyone out there ever plays here, and came up w/this thread, and I just had to laugh- we get soo much snow it isnt even funny and our golf seasons are only 6 months. We have really nice courses, most definitly worth traveling for- but definitly dont come in February!

May 1 thru Nov. 1.

Actually, I'm from NH so I know what A LOT of snow is like.... but I was itching so play soooo bad. =) Had been a loooong winter. Believe it or not, the weather in Deep Creek was really warm that weekend... I would have played had a course been open.

So, are you from the Deep Creek area? are there some nice courses to play? I really enjoyed my stay, and hope to go back during the warm months.
