Review Nike Tour D

I got to play 9 holes yesterday, and I used a trial 2 pack I received of the Nike One Tour D. Distance wise they are a little shorter than the Cally IX that I normally play. They hold the wind well, and the spin is surprising, they spin more than I thought. The problem with them is they shread really easy. i played 2 holes with the first one, and I was pulling pieces of the cover off, and only hit it twice with a wedge. I put the other new ball in play on the 3rd hole and the same thing happened, after 2 holes, it looked really bad, huge scuff marks, pieces coming off. No cart paths or trees were hit using these balls, only soft, rain soaked ground, and the clubs. The durability is horrible. I usually use a Cally IX for a round, and it looks better than this ball did after 2-3 holes.

 

For the price of this ball it is ridiculous how bad it looks after a few holes. I am glad I got a trial pack, and didn't have to pay for a dozen.

thats interesting. i found almost the opposite. i really liked the tour d. definitely better than the NOB in the feel dept and just as long. i played one ball all day saturday with no problem. the ball did wear a bit and i would not try to get another day out of it, but thats pretty normal with all premium balls. fwiw, i think the tour d is a much better ball than the one tour.

I played with this ball today for the first time. It performed a lot better than I thought. I am seriously thinking about changing to this ball
