A Question for SkyCaddie Owners

A question to the Skycaddie owners or anyone who might know. The shot distance function on these units, do they work in any location as long as you have a GPS signal or must you be on a uploaded golf course? The reason I ask is I have enough space on our property to practice with a 6 iron through lob wedge and it would be great to get actual yardage while practicing here at home. Thank You

Not sure, but you can do a "create your own course" (which most cant do) and use it that way. You can mark your teeing area as the center of the green, then when you walk out to pick up your balls you will have the exact yardage each ball is from the center of green/tee area.

Yup, works just fine. My buddy has a 140 yard par 3 hole in his back yard and we used my skycaddie to verify the yardage. Hope this helps!

You don't have to be at a course, all you need is the satellite.
