Bridgestone Ball testing

Hmmmh....

I've saw many post about the Bridgestone ball testing but today there was one at my GC. I just had my lesson with my pro and he decided to try the Bridgestone Testing set up about 3 or 4 boxes up from where we were.

So my pro borrowed my 7.5* G10 driver and they recommended the RX ball for him. My pro is about 60 but he plays everyday and even as he says he doesn't hit it far anymore, he still does with perfect placement.

1st ball, he clocks 99 and a 7.5 launch with 3800 backspin. I can't remember what his second shot details was but it was not all that good. On the 3rd one, he nailed it at 102 SS, about a 12.2* launch and 2800RPM. So I casually said, "that's prefect" and was promptly told "we'll tell you what the perfect launch is". Oh my. And guess what, it was perfect. Dunderheads.

So I toss the Zstar sitting on the table to my pro (before this I had given my pro a Zstar ball to try today). He nails it 12* with 3400 backspin and they promptly told him, "that's enough, not as good as the RX".

Huh?

My pro gets 3 balls with the RX and only 1 with the Zstar. Yeah, that's fair. Not. I remember reading posts here about how they pick the worse result to show up the Bridgestone balls.

I was going to try it but those 2 idjiots left a sour taste so I told them to screw it and walked off.

Anyone out there with better or worse experience?
