Best place to buy UPro or Sonicaddie?

Great day only to end badly !!!

Great day. 9 Holes in the morning and shot a 42 despite a lost ball 8 on #1. Par 5 so a par or bogie saves 2-3 strokes. Then to Murfield to watch the real pros play........ 2 hour drive home then discover --------

------- my UPro is missing. The course I played is looking for it. I did not get a positive read from the guy I spoke to on the phone. He seemed in a hurry to go home. He said nothing has been turned in as of yet and we finished up around 1:00 pm. I did not realize this until I got home around 8 pm. He said he would leave a note for the morning guys to check the carts. I will be in contact with them again tomorrow but they are 2 hours away. I am crossing my fingers that they will find it but ----- I'm not holding my breath.

1) Any one think Upro may help with this? Can they track it or shut it down?

2) If it is gone what should I go for? I really liked the UPro but was considering the Sonicaddie when the wife got me the Upro for Christmas.

3) Best place to buy with the best price? Either one or both.

Best? Not sure. Where you might try: www.golflandwarehouse.com has it listed at a good price. I ordered one from them but haven't received it yet. I shipped UPS the same day I ordered though and should be here by this time next week.

uPro pricing is pretty standard everywhere...online or retail. They all have the same rebate but you will find places that will try to pull off higher pricing.

I got my sonocaddie v300 for $250 off ebay. Add in the $50 lifetime membership and that's a hard deal to beat.

Hope you find the original though...That sucks.

Got my Sonocaddie V300 at Dick's for $249.00. It's an unadvertised special.

I too was considering the U-Pro (also because of the rebate); but went with the Sonocaddie since it can track scores, does analysis and from what others have said you can see it much better in the sun.

I did like the "trackanywhere" feature of the U-Pro, but the deal at Dick's is what swayed me.

Thanks guys. No luck on the Upro as of yet. I'm still hoping it will turn up today but I am guessing I am SOL. I'll call Callaway/Upro on Monday and hopefully they can shut down the old one so the SOB that found it cannot use it.

I like the Sonicaddie but once I pay the fee it will cost me the same as replacing the UPro. I am also hoping Callaway will work with me on a replacment.

My uPro arrived today from Golfland Warehouse. Now just have to get it charged, loaded up with some courses, a few rounds in, and the rebate. GW sent the rebate form. Note - there is no "cash register" receipt as mentioned on the form, but there is an item marked sales receipt.

Unit was the newer, red-boxed unit although the most important thing I've read is getting the proper update.

Still looking to hear from Callaway or anyone on this site as to whether it's ok to use a larger microSD card (16- or 32-gig) than the 1-gig version included. I'm hoping it's ok because the thought of keeping track of multiple cards just for course downloads (50 per unit's ridiculously low storage).

BTW, CWing - the whole buying experience with GW has been as good or better than some of the other online vendors I've used. I origininally tried Amazon, but they'd run out of units at the $328 sale price they had. TGW also said they would not price match - not cool.

I probably won't get a chance to get out until next week to try out the new toy. I'll post then on one of the threads about the user experience. BTW to all - www.golfflyover.com provides aerial views of several courses for FREE so the whole paying for aerial view and other related info seems like it's just one good biz deal away from going bye-bye.
