Project X versus Dynamic Gold S300 Question?

I currently play the TT Dynamic Gold S300 in my Mizuno MP-60's.

Can anyone tell me how the Project X shaft would rate vs the DG S300.

Is it a much better shaft? I notice a lot of pros are playing with it.

I just made the same switch. I went from DG S300 to PX 6.0. They feel softer than the DG but, play a bit stiffer. The feel takes some getting used to but, I am thrilled. The ball flight is a bit higher but, they still go straight through the wind. I live in Hawaii where wind is a factor and I can still control them pretty well at the higher flight. The only possible negative for me is that the short irons spin alot when hitting the three quarter shots. Doesn't seem to effect the mid and longer irons though...

I have PX 5.5 in my four wedges. I tried them in my irons and couldnt get used to the feel and sound. When i made contact it was a "thump" sound. Didnt sound clean to me. I wasnt able to get my yardages down since i gained a few more yards with them. I switched back to DG S300 and prefer them better for feel and sound.

Disappointed with the way PRO X feels...thats just my opinion.

Did they add distance versus the S300? How about shot dispersion? Do you hit the PX's straighter?

the project x plays very different from the dyn golds...the project x is built for the smooth tempo-powerful hitter, the dyn gold is designed for the hitter...you might wanna consider your swing style before putting the project x in...i only recommend this shaft to my stronger customers who is willing to work with their swing...another nice alternative to this shaft is the true temper tour concept shaft(TCI)...i just put a set of the tci's in my set and i cant believe the performance!!! the ball just gets up with a nice strong trajectory and very little ball movement...i'm still getting used to the tci's but so far i'm hitting it straighter and getting about a 8-15 yard gain...

The DG S300 would be a 5.8 on the Rifle or PX Flex Scale, (i.e. between the 5.5 and 6.0 flexes). I found the Rifles and PX launch higher and provide more distance than the DGs's for me, with the PX being the longest.

Feel is another matter entirely. To me, the Rifles and PX shafts feel so much smoother and better than Dynamic Gold. In fact, I find the S300 very "harsh-feeling" shaft even on very slight mishits.
