OT: Any Camera Buffs here?

Need help with purchase!

I'm looking to purchase a new digitial SLR...I'm a hack but I do a couple articles each year for a magazine in my industry which involves some high speed shooting(in the past I have borrowed a friends Canon 20d/580ex/28-135 3.5-5.6 combo and it has worked great for what I need.....

But my question is this...with canon phasing out the 20d and replacing it with the 30d...is it worth the extra cost moving to the 30d?

I have the 20D and love it. I am not sure what the 30D does that the 20D does not but the 20D is awesome!

Honestly,

 

The 20 and 30 are overkill for most people. The Digital Rebel offers just about the same features but, plastic/lighter body and better price. The 30 is worth it if you are concerned about the CCD coverage and you have the lenses to take advantage of it. Otherwise, I would spend the money on lenses...

Personally, I don't think the 30D is worth the xtra $$$ at this time, but this is also coming from the same person who has to have every new driver on the market when it's released.
