Durability issues

I placed in a junior tournamnet and had $35 proshop cash to spend so I bought 6 sleeves of callawy hx hot bites (they were on close out) anyways I took a sleeve to the practice green and started hitting short 10 yard pich shots with my 60* wedge (fairly new nike sv tour) with in 3 shots one ball was torn up to the point were I could not use it, and these are 10 yard pich shots imagine full shots! I have hit pitch shots with most tour balls and none have been torn up in 3 shots. I took them to the course today and my irons tore up the balls and I play v groove irons and have never had issues with them tearing up balls. I would suggest staying away from these balls

I got 2 boxes from my kids for a father's day present. Took a couple of sleeves out last week and played with my regular foursome, on the second hole I noticed that I had scuffed the first ball and my wedges are 4 years old and have never been sharpened.

Needless to say, I won't be buying any more of these. I'll be trying out the Bridgestone 330-RX on Sunday.

anyone care to recommend balls but without the durability issue? these work great for my game while i'm home in hawaii cause they bite enough for me and my yardages with em are the same as my yardages in nebraska with the HX tours. any help would be most appreciated. thanks!

The B330 RX is a great ball, it was the best preforming ball in a ball fitting I got, I bought a dozen for tournament play but I dont like to waste $4 balls in casual play.

Okay, so I think it is a given that the durability of this ball isn't the best. However, GPP Golf has them on sale right now for $15 a dozen. I was thinking of picking a few dozen up. Are they worth $15 in your all's opinion? Any insight would help. Thanks.

i thought about giving them a go but just couldn't do it... i bought 1 sleeve... peeled the cover pretty bad with the wedges... which is normal for most balls on the market... but i also ripped the cover with an 8 iron from the fairway... that was a little much for me...

but peformance wise... it did fly well... and stopped well on partial wedges... if you can get over the durability

Callaway Tour-i. GREAT golf ball, but like any premium ball, will have small "bite marks" from the wedge teeth. i do find though that i can really go after it and not worry about replacing it next hole.
