Help finding a ball

Well, I've tried quite a few balls in the past few months. I'm a high handicapper. Have gone from a horrible slice to a horrible hook as my game has progressed. Have been playing low compression balls, due to trying to minimize spin off the driver, but I have a high swing speed. My problem with the lower compression balls is that when I "pure" a drive, it balloons and either drops shorter than it should, or wavers off it's line towards the end of its flight.

Anyone have any suggestions for a lower flight, low spin ball?

My long game is the worst part of my game. Yeah, I'm lacking spin around the greens, but I'll take that if I can keep it in the fairway.

Have you tried the bridgestone e6+? Long and is supposed to help reduce sidespin. I would give those a try for about $27 per doz. It's a little more than the balls you have mentioned, but you might really like them.

Someone is going to say it so I might as well be the first...

There isn't a ball on the Planet that is going to help you. You need to put a better swing on the ball, any ball.

Horrible slices and hooks are the result of poorly fit clubs and or a bad swing.

Try the Top Flite D2 straight.

(but lessons and properly fit gear will ultimately be cheaper and more effective)

(or you could try getting a hound dog - they are incredibly good at finding golf balls)

While you're working on your swing this is a good ball for reducing sidespin / hooks / slices. Also nice feel off the putter. But it is low compression. The e-7+ (which I have not played) I think also reduces sidespin but may be higher compression(?).
