Thanks for visiting everyone
Hey guys, I am Brian, and I am a golf-o-holic.

I am a college student, a freshman at Carnegie Mellon University, in Pittsburgh PA. I am originally from CA, and this weather sucks. I only have enough money for one bag, which is sad, but I've made it pretty good, and pretty close to my ideal bag, just awaiting a few RTG wedges for more spin and action.

Without further ado, here is what I have now:

Driver: Nike SQ
This driver is very solid, I have a ProLaunch 75R in there right now, with a custom paintfill on the head - 44 1/2". This is long, with the way it sets up, you feel like you can just bomb it, and you will not miss the sweet spot. The ProLaunch 75R is great for my game, it is giving me a much better ballflight, raising my launch angle a few degrees, while being much less picky when I do not have my A-swing and am struggling - case in point - today. :idhitit: This is exactly what I need in my driver.

4 wood: Tour Edge Lift Off Hyper Steel
This 4 wood is great off the tee and off the deck, and with the Comp NT Prototype 85R, it is tough to make a bad swing. This club looks very clean at address, and is a solid club and a good buy (25 shipped plus 45 for the shaft). When my swing is off, this is the club I turn to for a fairway, or some momentum, it is a great buy and is as good off the deck as the tee.

Hybrid: Taylor Made Rescue Mid 19* with Stock Stiff
This club is sold, and very long when it is well struck. I like the way this club sets up, and is great off a tee, and solid off the deck. It is very easy to make a good swing with. If this shaft does not work out for me, I will put in a ProLaunch Hybrid Shaft - as I am a fan of those.
Pictures Coming Soon

Irons: Golfsmith Tour Cavity 4-AW with Rifle 6.0 (AW has DG S300)
Being in college, I don't get to play as much, and so I wanted to play something with a little more of a cavity back. I got a good price on the shafts, and wanted a forgiving head at a good price. I saw these, and jumped on the oppotunity to get them. I also got to experiment with building them myself. Finally got used today, and other than the fact that they need to get bent upright to my spec - toe was hitting the ground first, missing right, they feel vey solid. With a good swing they go and go with a very stable ballflight. They look very clean at address and sharp in the bag.

Wedges: Cleveland Tour Action 588 53 (bent to 54), and 60 (bent to 59)
These clubs are solid, I was able to sell my Vokeys and get these and make a little money in the process. Like the feel of these and have hit some great shots. I think the custom paintfill looks pretty sharp too. There's a reason so many players hit these wedges.

Putter: Scotty Cameron Newport Pro Platinum Mid Slant 33.5"
This putter was redone by Kevin Colbert, and I cannot describe it in words or pictures - I got it as a 75 dollar clunker on the eBay, but now it looks like a work of art, and it rolls a pretty mean ball as well. Feels very solid, and although 335 is a little light, it feels very crisp.

Thanks for reading this everyone, make comments, let me know what you think,
Brian

Thats a good question, lol. It is a function of my swing, which is more of a descending blow on the ball with a slower tempo, which means I get solid yardages out of my irons, and not much distance and a low ballflight ut of my driver.

The Rifle 6.0's are to tighten up my dispersion, plus they feel REALLY solid, while the 75R in the ProLaunch is a little heavier to promote feel while being softer and more tip active so I can get a higher ballflight and more distance.

Thanks for visiting!

I like your sticks and good work on the paintfills. Do you like your rifle shafts in the irons??

Yooper

Thanks for the compliments. Rifles feel very very smooth, and give me a high, solid ballflight and a lot of control. The heads aren't where I need them to be (need to be bent, causing a few misses), but on the par 3's where the ball is teed up a little bit, these feel as good as any irons I have ever hit.

Highly recommend them, great feeling shafts.

And yeah, that would have been fun.

New Wedges coming soon:

Cleveland RTG 49 (bent to 50), 56 (bent to 55), and either Spin Milled 60* or Cleveland RTG 60*.

I know the majority of support here is for Vokeys, but what does everyone think I should keep in the bag. I know, try them both, but any opinions?

Thanks for reading everyone.Brian
