Just got my Titleist 905T 9.5* reshafted with the Bassara 63 Stiff. I had the Aldila NV 65 Stiff and was getting too much spin on the ball. I was having a problem with the ball "ballooning" on me. This resulted in no roll and reduced disctance.

 

With the Bassara I seem to be getting a much flatter ball flight. The ball will get up quickly and then flatten out. On the launch monitor, I reduced my RPM's by close to 800! The ball will get on the ground and roll out.

 

Overall, I am getting roughly 12-15 more yards than my Aldila NV.

 

I'll keep it in there for sure.

I think you would do better to put that shaft in the R. You could add another 10-12 yds on to those drives.

Why do you recommend the Reg instead of the Stiff for this shaft.

He meant Put the shaft in the titliest 905"R" driver instead of the 905t

I have a 905R, and am thinking about putting a Bassara in it, as I am not quite prepared to throw down the $ for a Blueboard. I swing in the low 100's. I am eyeing one in stiff that is 45" with an an inch of tipping. Can anyone recommend how far I should have this shaft installed? Mitsubishi's website recommends no prep and one and a half to two inches with a bore through shaft. Any advise is greatly appreciated!

Just got my new 909 DComp with the Bassara Hawk UL H53 stiff. Real easy to hit and fits me to a tee. Good launch angle and a lot less spin than my Ping G10 with stock shaft. My miss hits, yesterday, were 230-240 still in the fairway. When I did make a good swing I was getting 260-280 out of this club (at altitude). Realy liking this shaft.
