inexpensive 3 piece ball with spin

nxt tour price but more spin

looking for a 3 piece ball that has spins more than the nxt tour, but is in the same price range as the nxt tour. i loved the u-tri tour, but obviously they quite making it, so i need something current. my game isn't consistent enough to be playing $4.00 pro-v1's or one platinums.

appreciate any responses.

Try the Bridgestone E6's I just converted from the NXT's myself. Quality ball with a good price around 24bucks

yeah, i've seen the bridgestone e-6. i see it reduces excesive side spin. does that mean its a low spin ball?

Geez... you got me. I know know about all the technicals I know it had a good cover on it... a good feel almost soft... and doesn't balloon. I can get it to check and come back.. .Hope this helps.

Just a FYI. I just picked up 5 doz. U-Tri Tours from Target for $23 a doz. That sould get me though the sort season in MN. I'll start looking for a replacement next year.

I like the Srixon AD-333. I have had good results from them with spin and holding greens. I haven't found anything out there that spins as much as the U-tri Tours so good look finding that and let me know when you find something that is close, especially if it is in that price range.

I'm not too sure on the pricing on them down there in the States but give the Wilson Staff Px3 a shot. Good ball for feel, distance, and spin. Durability is good as they stand up nicely to the grooves in my wedges. They're like razors. I'm always taking out pieces of cover from range balls. I've gotten them up here for $26/dozen (that was on sale) but usually see them for about $30 to $35 (NXT price). Conversely stay away from the Wilson Staff Tx4, I simply do not like this ball. The Px3 is simply a better ball.

How is your AccuLAUNCH working out? I tell ya I love the AccuLAUNCH 80 that I'm using in my 460SZ.

Between the two mid-price Bridgestone golf balls, the e5 is the one that has more spin.

i found the bstone mid rane balls to be absolutely disgusting, as you must totally compromise half of the balls worth in order to lower the price. one has no greenside spin and one balloons off the driver. if youre looking for a great lowcoster without going to the kmart 15-ballas try the TF strate TL tour (being discont.).

Have to give a second vote to the Top Flite Strata TL Tour. This ball is simply the best bargain out there in my opinion. Spins as much as a Prov1 and equally long. I bought 3 dozen (at the web's largest flea market), for $18/dozen. I had heard it was being discontinued but they are still readily available. (And it's kinda fun to tee one of these up in a state-level tournament and have all the purists stare at the egg as if it were a K-Mart blue-light special, produced only for hackers. I'm a 2-handicap and not ashamed to play a TF!)

i'll definitely look for the px3 to give it a try.

the acculaunch ran into some problems. took it for another fitting and it the flex was tested and it flexed out as a reagular. i know the sasquatch head is a bit on the heavy side so i don't know if that had something to do with it or what. i wouldn't mind giving the acculaunch 80 a shot. might need to tip it or even go with an x flex.

i keep seeing the strata tl tour mentioned. i'm definitely not opposed to it. i like the strata tour soft, still have a couple left over. i'll definetly go find some.

my reason for the spin is too add a little more spin to my driver to help keep the ball up with my low spin driver and just thought i would be able to take advantage of this on the greens. i feel like i spin the nxt tour plenty on the greens already.

I bought a dozen of Bridgestone E5's yesterday and they played great. Good spin on iron shots and around the greens. Soft feel off the putter, and good trajectory off the driver. I was really impressed.
