KZG Blades

I just picked up some KZG forged blades from an old friend with Harrison Stepless s3 shafts on them for cheap. Took them to the range and was hitting missiles with these things.

I still have yet to get them out on the course, but I was wondering if anyone else here has hit them or owns them and what you all think of these clubs.

 

By the way, this is my first real post. I've been reading the site for awhile now and finally decided to get in on the fun. Thanks in advance.

Played them in the past and they are definitely nice sticks. KZG is often over looked but makes quality equipment

Took these out to the course finally. These sticks feel like butter. Everything was coming off the club face beautifully. Deeper than my old clubs and much easier to control. Has anyone else had the same experience with these?

I had never heard of KZG until I saw a set on "trade me" cheap so took a punt on some Forged Evolutions.
I love mine and they have great feel and workability.
Must try some blades if I see any.

KZG DOES make nice irons. IMO, they re overrpriced. Also, if you decide to sell them off, they don't have much re-sale value. If I was looking to buy them, I would wait paatiently and find a set on eBay for about 25% of the price of new ones which are only available thru KZG clubfitters.

IMO KZG makes as good as good a forged club as anyone, Mizuno, Titleist etc. included. No they are not cheap but if you go to a custom fitter and get them you will walk away with a great set of clubs you wont want to trade in. Just because they dont have a tour prescence or spend big bucks on TV advertising that does not mean they arent high quality.

That sums it up well for KZG. Very, very expensive to buy but virtually worth nothing once you own them and want to resell. Therefore, it is vital to be correctly fitted and be of the ilk who plays their clubs a long time. In that case they are quality and a good value.

I bought a set of KZG Left Handed CB II irons with DG SL shafts this summer and absolutely love them. I'd agree that they are not cheap if purchased directly from a KZG certified fitter though I don't buy into the argument about low resale value. In my opinion, if you are more worried about resale value than game enjoyment value then you should only be buying off the shelf clubs - not fitted but highly marketed. Phil Mickleson useed to play KZG before Callaway offered him money to play their clubs - go figure.

So I've read this on a couple of posts and never got a response back, what is the average cost for a set of new blades? People keep mentioning how expensive they are but I haven't been able to find a price for a new set. Are we talking like $7-900 for the component heads or do you mean north of $1-1300 like Miura/Scratch irons?

You can get them for about $115 a stick completely built and fitted for you.

Made by Kyoei in Japan..I have the evolutions and love them..put flighted precision fltd rifles..great stuff
