Lessons for beginner & Fitting in Atlanta area

I don't know which forum this should go into and I want this to get some thread views so I'll let the mods take care of that :).

A friend of mine is going to play golf with his corporate manager next week. Problem is, he's never played golf before. Fortunately, he's very athletic and played quarterback in high school, but that's a far cry from swinging a golf club. He's willing to pay $200 for a lesson this weekend to show him the basics, though I think I could do as well for him as a teaching pro (I'm a +2). It would probably also be good if there were a driving range nearby.

However, if he must get an official lesson, I figure I'll get fitted while he's busy. So, are there any facilities that handle both in the metro Atlanta area, or if not, at least the lesson part? (I'm smack dab in the middle at Georgia Tech). The PGA Superstore in Roswell comes to mind, but I've never been there and I don't know if it's any better than Golfsmith, which is pretty useless, especially considering their $165/lesson price. I don't know of any driving ranges between Roswell and Downtown though.

Dana's in Warner Robbins, though. That's quite a trip from ATL.

I suggest the PGA Tour Superstore in Kennesaw, just north of Town Center Mall. You can call and arrange for a fitting and for a lesson. I know a couple of really good guys there who know their stuff.

Yeah, WB is too far. How is the Kennesaw store different than the Roswell one?

Man, they look quite...yeah...

$120 isn't too bad of a rate for the first time visit, though I don't know how much clubfitting would be.
