Whats your favorite Pro V1X?

2005, 2007 or 2009? Which one spins the less?

Just curious if you guys prefered one version over another?

Also which one do you think spins the less?

Personally, I liked the 2007 version better than the 2009.

Hey bend thanks for the reply. I did a poll for what people liked best I don't know why it did not show up?

Anyways, thats what I was going to get from Lostgolfballs, the 2007 version. I was just curious if anyone had a preference.

The 09 version is much like the 05 version in regards to low driver spin and good wedge spin, BUT the 09 version is very hard to me..i like the pro v1x , but no matter which model, if you dont compress enough when hitting it , you will lose distance big time

Agreed. I can compress it no problem. I just have to much spin w/ irons. I am switching out my shafts this winter, which just about 4-6 weeks away.

I just wanted to find a ball that spins a little less for the time being. I ordered some 2007 Pro v1X's yesterday from Lostgolfballs to try. They were cheap. The course I play is way to narrow to play new balls. Every hole is cut out in the forest. If you miss the fairway you are punching out on every single hole. It makes losing a bal thats $1.50 easier to swallow then one thats $4.00 :black eye: .

To [i][u]me [/u][/i]the '05 version is clearly harder and spins less than the '07 & '09 variety. I wish they would bring back the '05 version, I loved it!

07 prov1x was the greatest. the version that was sued over.

I ended up ordering 3 dozen 2007 pro v1x, used for cheap. They should be here Thursday. I am interested to give them a real try. If I play a pro v1x its usually because I found it and use it as a provisional. So I interested to see how they compare to the Tour IX after a couple rounds.

There are tons of online store that sell used golf balls. Also most of them have them divided into 2005, 2007, or 2009, and are graded from AAA-AAAAA(mint).

So if your looking for some there definately is some out there.

I like the 05-06 version, its like the 09 version in the way it plays, but softer

I like the 07 WAY better. I quit playing in 07 and just started back last month. This "new" ProV1x is crap compared to the later models. I have been a die hard ProV1x guy too, and have tried other balls and never found anything I liked. Well, I took a lesson from my golf coach and he gave me a dozen Callaway Tour iX's. He is using them and some of his college players are using them. He explained to me that the Tour iX is basically the "old" ProV1x that the suit was about.

I played it for the first time today, and I am a believer. The problem I have with the "new" Titleist is that it is not very durable. I shave them up with every full wedge I hit. The Callaway is way tougher. The old ProV1x didn't tear up so easily. I am barely getting 9 holes out of a "new" ProV1x. Today, I played all 18 with the same Tour iX and it is still good to go. I am sold. The performance was just as good for me as well as feel. To me, it was like the "old" ProV1x.

I play the Tour IX now. Its a great ball but I wanted something that spins a little less. I have the opposite prblem w/ them though, I tear them up very quickly. Although I read the white is only paint, and not actually the cover. But my irons rip the cover off range balls though (seriously). My buddy hit my 7 iron today w/ a NXT and had cover in the grooves.

Like I said though, this is just a quick fix untill i get new shafts next year. Our season is almost over. It was a high of about 50* today, we have about 4-6 weeks left at best.
