I have to agree with Rocky, even though I am more of a swinger than a hitter. The club flex very whippy in my hands but it was only a stiff flex in my old r7tp. From what I hear, if you get this shaft fit to your swing there is nothign better, but it all comes at a price. The V2, a Fuji Vista Tour, and a ys 7+ are all quality shafts at under a $100 a piece (and they all look pretty cool)

I'm not a fan of the S.I.X.  That doesn't mean that it's not a good shaft.... I just don't think it fits my swing.

 

I have a quicker tempo and tend to be more of a "hitter" than a swinger.  For me,  this shaft has a butt end that's too soft and a tip that lagged behind my hands..... pushing everything to the right. 

 

I think there are better shafts out there for half the price.  UST's V2 would be an upgrade and about $120.00 cheaper.

The SIX can be a bit whippy in the stiff flex. I have hit a 905T with the SIX in x-flex and it produced a great ball flight. High launch and straight, not whippy at all. I also have tried a r7 with the SIX in s-flex, but it felt less controlable and somewhat unpredictable. The moral of the story - get fit for the right shaft and flex.

I definately believe this shaft to be unpredicatble also. I feel its tough to have this shaft perform consistantly at what? 55 grams 4.5 torque! But if you need help getting the ball up quicker and you swing real smooth it may be the shaft for you. I launch the ball extremely high with a ton of spin... i don't know why i got rid of my 757.

My x flex SIX's in every driver are tipped 2" which effectively reduces the torque and tip play. The key is proper tipping. The unfortunate part is that you may go thru a few expensive shafts until you get it right. Tipped properly, there is nothing better. The light weight SIX allows for more headweight while picking up a few MPH's in swing speed which result in a few extra yards off the tee.

 

Trust me, I've used nearly every FUJI shaft and when properly prepped for your swing the SIX is awesome.

Absolutely agree. This shaft STILL gets a lot of play amongst the best in the business and tipping is key. Not too little and NOT too much.

Forget about the torque figures, this shaft is a top-performer for the player seeking a few xtra mph and and carry!

recently fitted a stiff six into a 10.5 cleveland comp = certainly about the easiest and straight combo i have hit= ball goes a bit high but on a calm day its a fairway splitter ... tried a six in a r7 tp and for me just didnt work at all = hit some of my longest drives ever with this combo but just coudnt get consistency ,maybe my crap swing but felt that the r7 needed a heavier shaft.

transfered the six to a tp r5 = superb -feels quality all the way through =good distance -flat /boring trajectory .. certainly for me far better than the 757 which feels harsh compared to the smooth six.

i have a low swingspeed mid 90,s so i find the stiff six far easier to load than the 757

For a golfer as I am.....Smooth tempo, longish swing, and decent ball striker.......this shaft is perfect. It has a smooth feel that the NV, NV VS Proto, and Diamana can't touch. Have it in my fairway woods too. The best shaft on the market for me.

The longest driver set-up I've played was a Tourstage J340 with SIX.

 

I just had one of the older blue SIX shafts[had to be purchased through the Fuji Tour Department due to Z-Com SIX being the only one in production now] installed in my 510DF proto.

 

The combo is very solid and long. With the SIX, I have found that getting the right tipping is very important. I had the X flex tipped 3/8ths and that works very well.

 

I'm not sure if it is just me, but I find the older model to feel and perform differently [and better for me] than the new Z-Com SIX.

 

Great ultralight shaft that performs equally well for hitters and smooth swing types.

I agree this shaft is very good especially when tipped correctly.

 

Lets take Luke Donald for example, still going for Titleist heads but still got the SIX in them and in the latest Golf Digest its mentionned that he has tipped it 1.5 with an X Flex at 44.5 in a 909 D2 (blind bore).

 

He has a smooth swing and more or less 105mph ss.
