I love it. I always find myself coming back to it every time I try to change. In my opinion it is one of the best models ever from Scotty.

First let me say welcome to the Scotty fan club. There are many different Scotty Cameron models. The one you are referring to with "3 cherry dots" are the student select models. There are many other ones with just "Titleist" on the back such as the Pro Platinum, Studio Design, etc. Mine specifically is a Pro Platinum Newport 2 from 2002. Thanks for the response, but I guess what I'm really should of asked was, is there any real difference between your, "Pro Platinum Newport 2" and a "Studio Select Newport 2 other than the markings? I have a Studio Select Newport 2 in the mail to me right now and I was always curious about the different labeling.

I'm not sure I still understand exactly what you mean by "difference" still. If you mean as far as the shape of the head then no, the studio select and mine are exactly the same. However, the finish is slightly different. While it may appear at first glance they are the same the pro platinum finish does look a little different than the studio select. All Scotty's Newport 2's will be the same head, just with a different finish and markings depending on the model. Newport 2 is one of the most popular heads so it is usually featured in almost all of Scotty's new putter lines, just with different stampings (the 3 cherry dots on yours vs. the Titleist on mine as you referred to earlier). Additionally some will be made out of different types of metal (i.e. GSS, etc...). Hope this better answers your question. Good luck with you SS Newport 2!
